under the family name in 1303. I believe after he married Idonea."

has been drained, but there is still an area nearby called Whittlesey Mere,
which I believe is the old Wittlesmere. I have also found a reference to
Wittlesmere on the Internet for you, which refers to "that great lake
Wittlesemere". "
