TAP seminars are recommended for military personnel 2 years from retirement and 12 months before separation, with supervisor
approval. YOU MUST HAVE THE DD Form 2648 (Preseparation Counseling Checklist) COMPLETED BEFORE
ATTENDANCE. Your Command Career Counselor (CCC) or Fleet & Family Support Center, Transition Assistance Staff can
conduct the congressionally mandated briefing. Please call your CCC or the Fleet & Family Support Center, 656-3060 no later than
14 calendar days, before the briefing, to register. Dress for the seminar is appropriate civilian attire suitable for job search.
