Reflection
I asked for strength
And God gave me difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for wisdom
And God gave me problems to solve.
I asked for prosperity
And God gave me brain and brawn to work.
I asked for courage
And God gave me dangers to overcome.
I asked for love
And God gave me troubled people to help.
I asked for favours
And God gave me opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted.
But everything I needed.

BAPTISM PREPARATION CLASSES
Parents wishing to have their
child baptised are asked to attend
a Baptismal Class in preparation
for the baptism of their child.
These classes take place at 8pm in the Cathedral
Conference Room on the 1st & 3rd Thurs of each
month led by the Parish Baptismal Team. Booking
at the Presbytery 049-4331404 between 9.30am 4pm Mon – Fri.
BAPTISM
Baptism takes place at 5pm on Saturdays and
12.30pm on Sundays in our parish.
Obligatory preparation. (see above). We

Choir Practice for Fleadh Youth Mass
A number of young people have
started choir practice for the Fleadh
Youth Mass on 18th Aug. If you would like to be
part of the choir you are welcome to come to the
Cathedral on Fri at 7pm for practice.
Cullies Cemetery Blessing
This Sunday 8th July
This the Blessing of Graves takes place in
CULLIES at 6pm. While the priests will generally
sprinkle the graveyard with holy water you are
invited, if you wish, to bring your own bottles of
holy water to bless your family grave. In order to
continue the on-going remedial works at the
graveyard we again are asking everybody to be
generous and make whatever contribution you can
afford on the evening of the Blessing of the Graves.

Kilmore Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock
The annual Pilgrimage on Sun 29th July
begins with the Anointing of the Sick at
2.30pm in the Basilica. Mass at 3pm
followed by the Eucharistic Blessing of the
Sick and Rosary Procession.
