Minutes from last two meetings acknowledged.
SIRAI training would have been more useful if there were more examples of how to use
"CIRC". Need to know how to proceed step by step. Need scenario of "how", method of how.
Prerequisite for CIRC training is the General OPAC. No one can proceed with the CIRC
training unless they receive this 2hr OPAC general session. Alt training will be a departmental
issue in the fall. The SIRSI CIRC Implementation Team will also require the OPAC general or
advanced session. My Account will be covered within the OPAC session which is one of the
reasons it is a prerequisite for CIRC training.
Booking for the training sessions to be done by Supervisors for their staff. There is a url from
the Staff Development page that is to be launched that will facilitate online registration for the
training sessions.

Susan Stone and Caroline Murray have the old training scripts of DRA. Will compare and
contrast in order to decide what kind of documentation the staff should receive.
There will be a review of the entire training script on June 13th. Subgroups to meet prior to
this to work on content for the scripts.
CIRC reports will be touched upon in CIRC training but further discussion and training will be
deferred. Staff from Campus Libraries will need to know about Reports. Will have to schedule
for this in August.

Note well that there will be emphasis placed on Brief Bib Listing rather than "OTF" in the
training. There is a work around already in play. The Brief title has the return location of OTF
not shelf or protected or something else. Will have to ask SIRSI for the definitive answer.
Lari will train other groups such as Info Commons on CIRC after the week of August 12 th.
Workflows software to be made available on all Implementation teams desktop soon. Login is
secret to be changed at later date.
The subgroup on Stats delivery still to report on methodology and content for the reports.
Question on issue of people who work from home also to be addressed at a later date.
Question also arose on how will SIRSI accommodate POS? It dosen't support 3 rd party
payment of fines. This to be checked on further by Lari.
Next Meeting: June 13th, 2:00 - 5:00 Lari booking either RM. 4049 or 2nd fl. Conference Room.
