2. COMPETITIONS
(k) The Records Officer of the Association shall keep a table showing the progressive results of
the Competition each week, including game results, play across players and a progressive point
score. Change to publish a table showing the progressive results of the Competition each
week

3. REGISTRATIONS
(c) If any Affiliated Club fails to provide notice to the Association as required in By-Laws 3(a)
and 3(b) hereof, the Association may impose a fine not exceeding $100.00. This section to be
removed.

4. ELIGIBILITY
(k) A player is eligible to play in semi-finals, finals and grand-finals if they have played in five
competition matches for the relevant team before the finals series.
Proposed clause: A player is eligible to play in semi-finals, finals and grand-finals of their age
group if they have played in five competition matches during the current season for their
relevant age group team before the finals series. A player is eligible to pay in semi-finals, finals
and grand-finals of a higher age group if they have played in 10 competition matches for their
club during the current season before the finals series. Up to a maximum of 3 players may play
up under this clause, subject to ratification by the Executive of CCJHA. This proposed clause
was defeated. Members voted to leave clause (k) as is.

7. TEAM CARDS
(a) Umpires are to hold team cards. Coaches/managers are to hand completed cards to
umpires prior to the teams taking the field. Floor motions to remove this clause. Ray
Winwood-Smith nominated M. Morris second.

(b) The team card shall list player’s first name and surname in legible writing prior to taking the
field. Each goal scored shall be recorded against the goal scorer’s name. At the completion of
each match, Coaches and umpires are to verify that the correct final result has been entered on
the cards and that the cards have been signed by the umpires and captains. Change to
Coaches/managers are to verify that the correct finals result has been entered on the

9. PROTESTS and DISPUTES
Erina proposed to remove (a) & (b) with their amendment below:
(a) All clubs, Umpires and affiliated bodies referring disputes (complaints) to the Association
shall forward in writing to the Secretary of the Association and to the Club complained against,
particulars of the matter in dispute together with $50.00 which shall be returned if the matter is
upheld.
(b) All matters to the Judiciary must be heard within fourteen (14) days of the complain being
received.
(c) All protests must be forwarded to the Association Secretary through their respective Club
Secretary.
(d) The Association Secretary shall call on the Club or person complained against to reply to the
matter in dispute, but in the case of no reply within seven (7) days, that Club maybe liable to a
fine not exceeding $20.00 and the Judiciary Committee may proceed with the inquiry and
decide upon the matter in dispute without further notice.
(e) Any player complained of for disputing the umpire’s decision or for otherwise mis-conducting
herself/himself during or subsequent to the progress of a match played under the control of the
Association, may be liable to be disqualified from taking part in any match played under the
control of the Association for such time as may be decide upon by the Judiciary Committee.

Floor motion was to keep original (a) & (b) but to amend to read:
(a) Any protest/complaint shall be lodged in writing to the Secretary of the Association within
fourteen (14) days excluding the last 2 competition rounds and final series following the
competition game in question or within seventy-two (72) hours of the game in question, and
such protest shall be dealt with by the Executive.
(b) Appeals against the decision of the Executive must be lodged to the Secretary in writing
within seventy-two (72) hours of the decision. Any appeals shall be as Rule 35.15(2) of the
Constitution.

10. CANTEEN DUTY
(a) Clubs playing on the sand field or the rostered field at each timeslot must supply a minimum
of two people for canteen duty for half of the game. Failure to attend to canteen duty will result
in a fine of not more than $20.00. It is the responsibility of each Club to be aware of the canteen
roster which is displayed at the front of the canteen. Change to:
(a) Failure to attend to canteen duty will result in a fine of $50.00 for 1st offence and $100.00 for
subsequent offences. It is the responsibility of each Club to be aware of the canteen roster
which is displayed on the web site. Clubs are to meet their canteen commitments as rostered.

Representative Umpires:
Umpires who are junior players wishing to attend a State Championship or other Representative
Carnival on behalf of another Association shall ask for a clearance to do so, from the CCJHA
Executive in consultation with the CCJHA Umpires Convenor.

2. Business Arising from minutes of previous meeting August 2008
 David spoke to both satellite coaches and they are willing to run a try out on 8th March at
9.00am to 11.0am (David to check times are OK). Invitation to go out to last years
players. Jenny Coonan to send list of players.

 Books are still not back from auditors
 Mingara’s $3,000.00 sponsor cheque went straight to trophy people instead of going
straight to CCJHA. Mingara to re issue cheque.
 $18,000.00 in bank as at end of month. Pro-Shop $5,600.00.
 HNSW to be sent invoice for Nationals and VETS championships.
 Fundraiser – tasting – needs volunteer to run (see Colette) if you want more information.
 $320.00 cheque sent to The Entrance Rotary Club for raffle tickets. When tickets are
drawn on 16th February they will send us a cheque for total amount of ticket sales
($320.00)
6.3 Rep. Convenors Report
 Position is still vacant we need someone urgently. Clubs to ask to see if anyone
interested.
 Charlene to send email to HNSW to get Age eligibility for State Championships for U13,
U15 & U17.
 U/15 & U/17 selectors send reminder email.
6.4 Fixtures Report
 U/17 there will only be 4 clubs as Norah Head has no U/17 team
 U/17 will play both on the same field
 Umpire’s will be put on the web site
6.5 Umpires Report
 Umpire forms have gone out.
6.6 Registrars Report
 Need registration forms asap
 Need team lists, all forms have to be in to Julie by the end of the first round.
6.7 Publicity Officers Report
 242 hits since the new year, 162 hits this month
 Liz to put rego days for Clubs next year
 Liz to email company to take CCJHA of their site
 Indoor VETS championships CC vs Newcastle was filmed
6.8 CCH Inc. Report
 It was carried at the meeting that we withdraw our membership to the Gosford Sports
Council. C. Egan nominted D. Alexander Second.

 Inc want CCWHA, CCJHA & CCMHA to put in equal amount with HNSW for
Development Officer. Inc to approach Associations.
 Development Officer Committee met and Janelle is making submission to HNSW as to
what we need/want etc for this position. She will advise later.
 CCJHA need to promote hockey more with flyers, advertising and on web site.
6.9 Pro Shop
 $600.00 profit at each carnival held at Niagara Park. VETS $900.00 and $1350.00 at
the Nationals. Thanks to Lee, Julie, Chris and helpers.
 Voodoo and Taurus sticks now available
 Will be some slight increases in some products
 T-Shirts will now be on sale in the Pro-Shop. Heaps sold at all carnivals.
 Julie asked meeting if they would approve invoice for $2310.00 for T-Shirts CARRIED

Meeting Closed: 10.05pm
Next meeting will be held at the Wyong Hockey Complex on Tuesday 17th March 2009
commencing at 7.00pm. All clubs must be represented.
