I don't think you can beat Dawdle Duckling for vivid verbs (and what is more,
they are paired alliterative vivid verbs :>)
I am not sure if Gooney Bird Greene by Lois Lowry would work -- or
what about the Fancy Nancy books are there any of those about verbs -Brian Cleary also has books on all the parts of speech --Heller's series on parts of speech
What about Robin Pulver's Nouns and Verbs Have a Field Daky
Little Tricker the Squirrel Meets Big Double the Bear by Ken Kesey (of 1 Flew
Over the Cuckoo's Nest fame). Great language!
