General Description:
Basic understanding of aquarium husbandry. Comprehensive ability to identify freshwater,
saltwater, coral and invertebrate species. Ability to identify common diseases and maladies
affecting marine organisms. The ability to identify common diseases and maladies affecting
freshwater and marine organisms is essential. The Sales Associate reports to the Chief
Operations Officer and the Floor Leader. The Sales Associate has direct operational
responsibility for:

Greeting all visitors to the store with a warm, friendly smile.

Following up and following through on commitments to create a positive sales
environment.

Providing prompt service to every customer.

Providing customers education and support in their aquatic hobby.

Maintaining a positive and professional attitude and appearance at all times.

Offering options and solutions to the customer to address their specific needs.

Successful completion of the daily checklist in a timely and accurate manner as
represented by initials placed beside each completed task.

Ensuring the store maintains a neat and orderly appearance to provide the maximum
opportunity for sales.

Fronting and rotating all merchandise on the sales floor.

Receiving product deliveries in accordance with company guidelines and forwarding all
paperwork to the business office.

Ensuring all products are priced and stocked in accordance with company guidelines.

Attending company Staff Meetings and other company functions as determined by
Management.

Routine completion of the daily Dead Fish Report with communication to the Floor Leader
and Curator of Life Support Systems regarding specifically identified problems.

Daily coordination with the Curator of Life Support Systems in the completion of identified
tasks on the daily Husbandry report.

Executing assigned tasks from Management and the Curator of Life Support Systems
regarding livestock medication and store merchandising.
Work experience guidelines:
 Work history in retail sales or service industry.




Legal residency and a valid workers permit/ tax identification number
Reliable transportation to and from work is mandatory.
