My wife and I both graduated from Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, MN. I am a
LSW (Licensed Social Worker) in Mississippi, with 45 years of pastoral and
administrative experience, including 26 years at Tupelo Children’s Mansion. My wife
and I co-founded Tupelo Christian Academy, Abundant Life Tabernacle, Erwin
Maternity Care Center and New Beginnings International all in Tupelo, Mississippi. I
also co-founded “Worth The Wait” abstinence program that is now a national program
used by 4,500 United Pentecostal Churches for the youth.
While in Tupelo, we led the ministry of Tupelo Children’s Mansion from one ministry with a
campus of seven buildings and twenty-two acres, to four ministries with twenty eight buildings
and one hundred eighty acres. We founded and administrated a Christian school, Tupelo Christian
Academy, for twenty-one years. The school had an enrollment of 190 students, with over 90% of
the graduates continuing on to college. In addition, we founded and pastored Abundant Life
Tabernacle for eighteen years, with the congregation averaging two hundred forty when we
retired from the ministries in Tupelo. When we retired from these ministries there was only forty
thousand dollars owed on the entire increase of property and buildings at TCM. We left there
because we were exhausted after raising over 1,000 children and all of the other things we
managed.
One of the passions is still New Beginnings International Children’s and Family Services. We
founded and chaired the New Beginnings International ministry (www.nbicfs.org) a ministry
independent from the other ministries we led. New Beginnings includes the “Erwin Maternity
Care Center” (for girls in crisis pregnancy – the only such facility in the state of Mississippi) and
the New Beginnings Adoption Agency for 26 years. Evelyn and I both continue to serve on the
board for lifetime. This is the only adoption agency and maternity home in the United
Pentecostal Church organization of over 4,500 churches in North America. The agency has
helped over 450 babies to be saved from abortion and placed over 550 children in forever families
in the last twenty six years. NBI is now accredited with the National Counsel of Accreditation
and as of January 2009 have established a relationship with the nation of Nepal and opened our
first overseas orphanage for adopting 30 children per year from their county to the United States.
2008 we also were key to forming the National Christian Adoption Fellowship. This fellowship
is a coop with 9 other Christian adoption agencies in which we can share 17 countries together for
families working with each agency to adopt from.
Upon retirement from TCM, we were given the keys to the city of Tupelo, MS, the city declared a
day in our appreciation that was celebrated by the city officials. We also were honored by a
special accommodation by the joint state houses of the senate and representatives. You can put
our names in on the web and pull up the honorarium from both houses of the legislature in
Mississippi. We were honored with 7 of the 9 justices of the Mississippi Supreme Court coming
to our retirement celebration or the special session when I was honored as social worker of the
year in Mississippi, including the chief Justice.
We went to Arkansas to pastor a church that was hurting from a problem they experienced. We
missed administrative work and accepted a new position in St. Louis with our International
Church organization. We are now leading the Stewardship Department of the United Pentecostal
Church International, President of United Pentecostal Church Loan Fund and President of the
United Pentecostal Foundation..
Presently I served as:

Director of Stewardship Department (International in scope)

President, United Pentecostal Foundation (International in scope)

President, United Pentecostal Church Loan Fund

Secretary/Treasurer of United Insurance Solutions, Inc.

Founding Board Member New Beginnings International (National and International in
scope)

External Board Member, Faith Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church, Manchester, CT
