WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville adopted a small-scale land use

amendment to the 2010 Comprehensive Plan for the purpose of revising
21
portions of the Future Land Use Map series (FLUMs) in order to ensure
22
the

application 2008C-009 and companion land use Ordinance 2008-1028; and
24
WHEREAS, in order to ensure consistency of zoning district with
25
the 2010 Comprehensive Plan and the adopted companion small-scale land
26
use amendment 2008C-009, an application to rezone and reclassify from
27
Residential Medium Density-A (RMD-A) and Commercial Community/General-1
28
(CCG-1) Districts to Commercial Community/General-2 (CCG-2) District

WHEREAS, the Planning and Development Department, in order to

has considered the rezoning and has rendered an advisory opinion; and
6
WHEREAS, the Land Use and Zoning (LUZ) Committee after due notice
7
held a public hearing and made its recommendation to the Council; and
8
WHEREAS, the City Council after due notice held a public hearing,
9
taking into consideration the above recommendations as well as all oral
10
and written comments received during the public hearings, the Council
11
finds that such rezoning is consistent with the 2010 Comprehensive Plan
12
adopted
13
development of the City of Jacksonville; now therefore
under
the
comprehensive
planning
ordinance
for
future
14
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Jacksonville:

Section 1.
Subject Property Location and Description.
The

approximately 2.5 acres of land (R. E. Nos. 005911-0000, 005912-0000,
17
005955-0000, 005956-000, 005957-0000, 005958-0000, 005961-0000, and
18
005962-0000) are located in Council District 12 south of I-10 and east
19
of Cahoon Road between Cahoon Road and Memorial park Road, as more
20
particularly described in Exhibit 1 and graphically depicted in Exhibit
21
2, both of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by this
22
reference (Subject Property).
