LCMS Comprehensive (School-Wide) CCR Advising Plan

School Counseling Program Advisory Council

Established to develop a CCR Advising Plan that establishes interventions to target academic/career/and personal/social needs

Goals:

1.

Frequently use ILP for CCR and exploration & make ILP a SBDM policy

2.

Bring stakeholders from staff, parents, students, community/business, higher ed

3.

Reduce dropout rates, raise graduation rate, seek post-secondary pursuits

4.

Include in CSIP to ensure CCR, proficiency, and elimination of gaps

5.

Focus on academic, career, and personal/social needs

September: PTGT mentor/advisor assignments & begin mentoring (grades/aca, activities, career goals, p/s needs, etc.)

Address behavior gaps from IC referrals with RtI

October: K-PREP score individual discussions (goals entered in ILP and agenda)

Address K-PREP achievement gaps with RtI

Address achievement gaps on classroom grades with student-led parent teacher conferences

Address achievement gaps on Universal Screener (STAR) with RtI

November: Personal/Social Groups begin
