Course Description
This course provides lectures and hands-on practices on the occupational therapy evaluation and
treatment used with patients who have orthopedic conditions. The course is designed to provide
students with an understanding of various types of orthopedic conditions and related
interventions.
Course Objectives
After the completion of this course, the student should be able to:
1. State the appropriate evaluation and intervention goals for different orthopedic conditions.
2. Identify the functional impact and implications of temporary and permanent orthopedic
conditions.
3. Describe the commonly treated diagnoses in the filed of orthopedic OT.
