The modules that DDP students take are counted towards the CAP in the following manner
1st Degree
Classified as C1 in the database
2nd Degree
Classified as C2 in the database
Both 1st and 2nd degrees
Classified as CA in the database
Total MCs: 203 MCs
Additional modules taken will be counted towards C1, except for modules offered by the faculty of the student’s second degree, which will be classified as C2.
Note:
1 Common module that also satisfies FASS module requirements.
2 Common module in B.Eng. & B.SocSci Double Degree programme.
3 27 MCs of EC electives, at least 8MCs at level-3000 and at least 15 MCs at level-4000.
4 The exposure module has a code ending with xx1101E. A student has to choose only one exposure module from: CH1101E, CL1101E, MS1101E,
JS1101E, SN1101E and SE1101E.
5
Four ECE Technical Electives: A minimum of 2 Technical Depth, 1 Technical Breadth electives from ECE’s Masterlist of technical elective modules.
The 4th elective can be a breadth or depth elective.
6
Students could either choose to do a joint FYP (XFE4401) or a separate FYP from the each host fac :
(i) XFE4401 Integrated Project (over 3 sem) or
(ii) Separate FYP i.e.
EE4001 Final-year project (FYP,12 MCs,C1) + 1 ECE Tech Elective (4 MC,C1)
+ 1 EC4401 Econs Hons Thesis (15 MCs, C2) or 3 EC4xxxx in place of Econs thesis (no 1st class Hons for BSocSci, 15 MCs, C2)
This recommended DDP schedule is subject to revision depending on the availability of modules in any semester. A student may choose to deviate from this schedule and it is
his/her responsibility to check that he/she can fulfil the graduation requirements on time. Please refer to the DDP website http://www.nus.edu.sg/prog/engecon/ for more
details on the programme requirements.
