Dear International Student, we are happy that you have chosen the University of Economics - Varna! In order to make the submission of all the necessary documents easier for you we have made this booklet.
Here you can find the application procedure step by step as well as the list with the documents you have to submit.

1. By September 30 th, you have to submit your documents (see next page) at the International
Relations Office. The documents may be sent by mail, submitted personally or handed in by authorized representative.
Applicants from restricted countries have to submit their documents as soon as possible, because of the longer period for processing the documents for obtaining a "D" type visa for education.
2. After the submission of the documents the International Relations Office processes and sends them to the Ministry of Education and Science (MES). The procedure ends with the issue of a special Certificate that is used for the application for "D" type visa for education at the Bulgarian embassies. MES must issue the Certificate in one month.
3. After receiving your certificate from MES, the International Relations Office notifies the applicant that the certificate is received and he/she must apply for visa type "D" as soon as possible. The
Bulgarian embassy is supposed to issue the visa in month. Nevertheless, your visa may be delayed..
4. Immediately after the receiving of your visa you must start your preparatory course at the
University of Economics-Varna.
The students form groups on the first come first served basis. If some of the students arrive too late they might not be included in the preparatory class. In this case they will have to wait for the next year.

4. Document, issued by accredited authorities, certifying the applicant's right to pursue his/her studies at the higher education institutions in the country, issuing the respected diploma.

Health) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country of residence of the applicant and the
Consular section of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in the appropriate country.
