by the National Blind Children's
Society and are in 24 point type with
identical covers to the ordinary print
versions of the books.

Set in 1906 and built around the real
life murder of a young woman in a
popular holiday resort. When Mattie is
given the letters by a guest at the hotel
in which she has a summer job she
thinks the giver is simply upset. But
when the woman is found drowned in
Big Moose Lake, Mattie has to decide
if she will read the letters, or burn
them. But Mattie has problems of her
own as she is growing up and trying to
decide on her future.

other. The detective, and narrator, is
Christopher Boone, who is fifteen and
has Asperger's, a form of autism. He
has never gone further than the end of
the road on his own, but when he finds
a neighbour's dog murdered he sets
out on a terrifying journey which will
turn his whole world upside down.

When Chas finds a website asking
people to write to prisoners on death
