Perinatal Program Associate
Perinatal Program Coordinator, Executive Director
approximately 18 hours per week
$13.74 per hour; no health insurance or retirement benefit; prorated paid
time off and holidays
Responsibilities:


Work closely with Coordinator, Director & staff to complete workplan activities.
Assist Coordinator, Director of Finance and Administration & Executive Director in completing
clerical and organizational duties.
Represent Network at community meetings and/or with other agencies as directed.
Fulfill public speaking or training on oral health, perinatal and teen issues for consumers.
Interface with prospective speakers, presenters and partners on consumer education initiatives.
Work closely with other perinatal staff on outreach activities to publicize services of the Network and
to promote behaviors leading to healthy outcomes for pregnant women, their children & families.
Assist in maintaining perinatal information on website.
Identify and coordinate the acquisition and maintenance of outreach materials.
Assist to coordinate special projects and events as required by the Coordinator & Director.
Participate in community events (i.e. health fairs, conferences) to promote Network goals.
Develop and distribute quarterly Network consumer newsletter.
Work with community agencies on projects that fulfill goals of the Network.
Maintain field reports on activities and include summary in quarterly reports to funders.
Provide information and referrals to consumers and/or agencies, as appropriate.
Recruit consumers to participate in Network sponsored activities.
Other duties as assigned.

Areas of expertise:







Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, including experience writing reports
and meeting minutes.
Knowledge of the organization and delivery of health and human services.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to organize and deliver public presentations.
Ability to work independently, yet willing to work in a team effort when needed.
Strong computer skills and/or willing to learn additional skills.
Multi-task oriented.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Health Education, a health related field, human services, or other related fields with
1-2 years experience in health or human services employment.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Computer Literate, with minimum Word, Excel, Desktop Publisher experience.
Ability to meet the travel requirements of the job.
