 Body (briefly summarize main events of book)
 Conclusion (but don’t give away the ending; leave us interested & “hanging” – wanting to read this
book)
 TITLE AND AUTHOR within the talk itself
 Good eye contact and posture
 Effective voice control
You MUST have NEAT, LEGIBLE note cards in order to do your presentation. I suggest you type them
. . . shrink up the margins so when you print them you can cut them out easily and glue them to actual
note cards. Again, you must have them on note cards . . . any size.

presentation.

I don’t think I’ll ever get down off this roof. I think I’ll stay here till kingdom comes!
Have you ever been so sad?
So mad?
So much of both of these things that you just wanted to be away from everyone; talk to no one?
Well, I am. Aunt Patti is angry with me. I suppose she has reason to be.
I’ve been sitting on her roof for hours. …..She’s worried. …..She’s angry.
Thing is, my being up here has nothing to do with her. ……Or does it?
She sure is strict. …..She sure has a lot of rules.
…..She sure gets frustrated by me easily.
Ever since Aunt Patty said we needed to give Mom time alone. Ever since she came and took us from Mom
to live with her and Uncle Hob.
…..It’s “Don’t do this; don’t do that…”
But that’s not why I’m up here. It’s not why Little Sister is up here either. Little Sister is up here because I’m
up here. ….. Where I am, so is she.
At least that’s what I notice. I certainly don’t know this from anything
Little Sister has told me.
