How to find all your Carini ancestors !
With this Gedcom, you have access to a Carini database (1527-1777).
1) If you want to get a file with only your ancestors, please follow these instructions :
Open the Carini database
Add , with the help of the extractions, your name and the names of all your close ancestors
(with all the elements you can get : birth, marriage, death) until you reach the level of the
Carini database (1777)
Select “File”
Select “Print Reports”
Select “Starting Person” … “Search” the starting person (yourself or a relative)
“Type of chart” : choose “cascading”
“Chart options”
“Generations per page” : 4
“Chart number of first chart” : 1
“Starting person is same as” 1 “on chart” 1
“Number of generations to print” 20
“Chart numbering” : choose “sequential”
“Index options” : choose “Include index”
Important, don’t forget to choose “Print to file”
Then press on “Print”
You’ll get a file with all your ancestors that you’ll be able to print or send to a relative (if
you’ve chosen another person as the “Starting person”).
2) If you want to get a new database with only your ancestors, please follow these
instructions :
Open the Carini database
Add , with the help of the extractions, your name and the names of all your close ancestors
(with all the elements you can get : birth, marriage, death) until you reach the level of the
Carini database (1777)
Select “Tools” then “Create Web Page”
Select “Ancestors”, “Starting Person” (Yourself)
Check that “Number of generations” is sufficient (you can indicate 32)
Check that “Include Gedcom file” is selected
In “Web page description”, give a name to the new database (It can be your name)
The system will indicate where the new files are situated on your computer.
You’ll find then different indexes and a new Gedcom.
Open the Gedcom and you’ll get a new database with all your Carini Ancestors.
