Richard Hughes
Have a taste of something different with top Norfolk chef Richard Hughes.
Richard will be cooking up a treat and promoting his recipe books down in the
kitchenware department of the store.
Richard, who runs the Lavender House restaurant in Brundall, is a past finalist
in the national Chef of the Year competition and a member of the World
Master Chefs Society, as well as being a regular contributor to BBC Radio
Norfolk and the EDP Norfolk Magazine.
He is also the author of Hughes Cooking and Puddings Galore!
“I am really looking forward to the event,” said Richard. “Although I do a lot of
demonstrations, it will be fun doing a whole week in Jarrold. I’ll be promoting
my books and, of course, making some recipes from them.
“I’ll also be chatting to the audience and they’ll have a chance to try some of
the dishes.”
Richard added: “There will also be some guests joining us. For example, I will
be doing some fish recipes with David Stannard, who wrote Fishing Up the
Moon, and Richard Knights, from the Lavender House, will be making a
chocolate recipe with the Lord Mayor of Norwich, Michael Banham, who is
going to read from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Kathryn Hughes
author of The Life and Short Times of Mrs Beeton will be joing me while I cook
a Mrs Beeton recipe”
