Program - International Symposium on Plasticity

advertisement
PROGRAM: PLASTICITY 2015, Montego Bay, Jan. 4-9
Revised, January 2, 2015
If you have not received a receipt for your registration, and you definitely need one, then
please send an E-mail to symposium@internationalplasticity.com ASAP but before Jan. 4th
and pick it up from the registration room on Jan. 6th. Receipts will not be given after the
conf.
Kindly make sure that you make your dinner reservations in the three served restaurants
as soon as you arrive at the resort as they get full quickly and then you will be mostly
eating in their buffet restaurant. Dress code for the restaurants is smart casual (no half
pants and half sleeve shirts).
Reservations can be changed online, or by contacting Nescha.Watson-Henry@Hilton.com.
If you delete your reservation or delete your room on a particular date within one week of
your arrival date, the resort will assess a penalty of one night amount; the one night
amount penalty will be also assessed if you depart earlier than your reserved departure
date after check in.
Please arrange health, travel or any other insurance that you may need as the conference
does not carry any insurance on your behalf. Hilton is a gated high category property, but
you should observe normal safety precautions (not leave smart phone, ipad or laptop
unattended) and follow normal health precautions for travelling to a tropical resort, e.g. if
you are taking certain tours, then use insect spray with DEET. We strongly advise against
any visit to downtown Montego Bay area where cruise ships stop.
For airport transfers, you may check the following website, we have negotiated a very
special price of $22 per person roundtrip (rate is good for all conf. travel dates including
before and after conf. dates). The price is negotiated for your benefit but the agreement, if
you choose to use them, is between you and them. We are not responsible for any problems
or delays. http://jamaicatoursltd.com/transfer.php?type=airport_transfer&affiliateid=27
We recommend that you do not sign for any tours until after you reach Jamaica. The taxi is
around $35-40 one way.
We are requesting some colleagues to Chair sessions by putting their names on the
program. If you cannot accept our invitation, then please inform us and we will change it.
Chairs are requested to bring their laptops for session that you are chairing, as per our
experience, it is most efficient as you know how to handle your own laptop if there is a
problem. If you are unable to bring your own, there will be laptops available in the
registration room for your use.
Please print the program just before your departure to Jamaica, but after January 2, if you
need a hard copy for your use. The conference will provide only soft copies on memory
stick, or you can download it on your smart phone/ipad/laptop from our website. Hard
copies have become obsolete these days with widespread use of electronic devices, and also
the program will keep going through minor changes due to missed/delayed flights etc.
Participants who arrive on or before Jan. 3rd should register on Jan 3rd to avoid long lines
on 4th morning.
