I aligned each of the University of Saint Mary Graduate Program Outcomes (GPOs) with one or more of the NBPTS Core Propositions. I think national and district standards are an excellent way of providing clear direction and direct focus for educators. I think there are a variety of strategies and practices that can be used to achieve the same outcome. Hopefully educators take the time to research and plan the strategies that will help their students meet the expected outcomes. Every classroom is going to be a little different as far as climate, strategies, knowledge, and experience. The standards maintain that every classroom is trying to produce the same result; our students learn the knowledge and gain experience that will allow them to be successful once they leave us.
