Terms and Conditions
1. We regret that all hire fees are non-refundable. This applies to
cancellations made before the event and on the day of the event.
2. Food concessions, catering outlets and craft stalls are negotiated separately.
Please email events@lewisham.gov.uk or call 020 8314 7321 for details.
3. Food: Applicants may not prepare, cook or serve food on site. Highly
perishable and/or prepared foods, including rice and meats, may not be
offered for sale.
4. Electrical Equipment: Applicants may not use any form of amplification.
5. No generators are permitted.
6. Applicants must not sell goods or carry out any activities not stated on the
application.
7. Cleaning up your act. People’s Day is investing in a greener future; please
think about the products and merchandise that you hand out and the overall
impact your display will have on the environment. If you can do it a greener
way, all the better. Applicants must be responsible for their own rubbish and
use the appropriate recycling bins throughout the day.
8. Applicants may not sell alcohol or tobacco at the event.
9. Due to the removal of equipment at previous events we regret that no tables
and chairs can be supplied. Random searches will be in operation on the exit
gates to prevent further theft of equipment.
10. No vehicles are permitted on the event site between 10.30 – 21.00 approx (or
until the site is cleared). If your display includes the use of an integrated
vehicle please state this on your application form.
11. No dogs are permitted on site. Dogs can die in hot cars - please do not leave
your dog in a vehicle in the car park.
12. Allocation of stalls and pitches is solely at the discretion of the event
management.
13. All organisations must stay within their pitch boundaries. Failure to do so may
result in having your display removed without a refund.
14. The Council requires an assurance in writing that the applicant does not and
will not discriminate against or in favour of any person by reason of colour,
sex, creed, race, national or ethnic origin, age, sex, disability, sexual
orientation or marital status. Your signature on this application form will be
taken as such an assurance.
15. An email receipt will be sent, upon receiving your application. Successful

16. Event details with parking permits will be sent out the week commencing 10
June 2013.
