Post doctoral position in the U955 unit at INSERM/ Institut Mondor de recherche
Biomédicale (Créteil, France)
The INSERM unit U955 is a research center that includes 15 teams. Among team 21 « Renal
Immunopathology and transplantation », Pr José Cohen develops a research entirely devoted
to tolerance induction in cell and organ transplantations. Its approach “from bench to bedside”
is rendered possible thanks to the center for clinical investigation in biotherapy he also coheads. This articulation provides a dynamic and highly interactive research environment,
strongly connected with the clinic and translational medicine.
Description
A post-doctoral position funded by the SATT IDFInnov is available, starting in September
2013 in the group of José Cohen. This group is focusing research on identifying novel
procedure of regulatory T cell (Treg) production for innovative cell therapy in transplantation.
We have recently developed in mice a new strategy to produce highly suppressive Treg that
can be conditionally activated (see Martin GH et al. EJI 2013). The present project aims at
developing the same strategy with human Treg in clinical grade compatible conditions.
We are seeking candidates that are highly motivated by translational research in the field of
immunology.
Qualifications
We welcome candidates holding a PhD degree in immunology, who wishes to join a dynamic
and interactive team. The candidate should also have excellent skills in cellular biology,
cytometry, cell culture and animal experimentation, and have good understanding and
communication capacities. Experience in Treg will be highly appreciated.
Please apply by sending by email a letter of motivation describing your interest in this
research and past research experiences, a curriculum vitae and names of at least two referees
to: jose.cohen@inserm.fr
