6. Go to the database Issues & Controversies and list at least three
“Issues in the Headlines” and at least three “Special Features.”
7. In the database Issues & Controversies locate the World News Digest
tab in the upper right hand corner and go to that database. Locate a top
news story from the year you were born. What is the story and provide a
link (copy and paste the url).
8. Go to Finding Articles by Subject and choose Nursing. What
databases are available for finding articles?
9. Using the database CINAHL (in the Nursing subject guide), find an article
about diabetes and nutrition (hint – uncheck the suggested search terms
box if displayed)

heading Full Text Sources, locate the Naxos Music Library. Explore the

12. Go back to the Finding Articles page of the Library Web page and
choose the link to The Electronic Journal Center. Browse the journals by
the Topic History and locate the journal titled American Quarterly.
Provide the title of an article from the most recent issue of the publication.
13. In the Electronic Journal Center, browse the journal titles by Social
Sciences, then Education. Locate the journal Community College
Review. Conduct a search within that publication using the phrase
distance learning. How many articles are found?
14. Go back to the Finding Articles page of the Library Web page and
choose the link to The Electronic Journal Finder. Is the journal The
Hastings Center Report available online? How can it be accessed and is
there a difference in the coverage accessible?
15. Go back to the Finding Articles page of the Library Web page and
