Your teacher will issue homework on a regular basis throughout unit
1. Attempt the questions you have been set in as much detail as you can. Write in sentences and paragraphs wherever possible.
1) Homework…Write a short passage about why
Scotland needed a new leader and why the Maid of Norway was causing a problem.
2) Homework – Collect newspaper articles which show items of bias.
3) Homework – Design a ‘for sale’ poster for
William Wallace’s Claymore Sword! You must draw a picture of the item and describe how it would have been used in battle?

4) Homework – Design a battle plan for Scotland at the Battle of Falkirk. Use the information you have researched in class and make a map/ plan that can lead Scotland to victory!
5) Homework – List three reasons why Robert the Bruce and Scotland won the Battle of
Bannockburn. Your reasons must be fully explained and could include the tactics used in battle etc.
6) Homework – Your task is to design your own
Declaration of Arbroath.
You should include the main reasons why Robert the Bruce should be made King and why Scotland should be granted independence from England.
You could also make your document look old and historic!
