Go, Go, Go Joseph! Congratulations to all at Our Lady’s Primary School for the fantastic end-of-year production of “Joseph and his
Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”. Who needs the West End? We thank all the staff and students for their hard work over the year
and wish them a happy summer break. Tuesday morning’s Mass is the “Leavers’ Mass” for which we welcome the whole school
community into church.
Congratulations to Matthew and Pepy Ideh on the happy occasion of their Convalidation.
Farewell to the Black Hermits: After four years in Corby, we bid farewell to Fr Stephen, Brother Damon and Sister Colette as they
head off to Scotland. We will miss their prayerful presence resonating from St Patrick’s presbytery, and their help to the local clergy,
providing “breathing space”. Fr Stephen had particular affection for the people of Our Lady’s and he is grateful for our support to
him; likewise he was of great help to us here in the parish, celebrating Masses, funerals etc.
Missing Them Already: The Hermits’ departure will be felt immediately, as there will be no Mass here on Wednesday (my day off) or
Thursday (my best-friend’s funeral in Bletchley). Fr Stephen was always more than happy to cover. We will miss him.
MAY THEY REST IN PEACE: May Callery, aged 95, late of Wharfedale Road whose funeral service is on Monday at 11:00 am.
Michael Joyce, aged 55, late of Bletchley, whose Requiem Mass is on Thursday at 11:00 am at All Saints, Bletchley.
Altar Servers. It is brilliant that we have no fewer than five new recruits who, now we have ordered more albs, are up and running.
Are they enthusiastic, or what? Our thanks too, to our experienced servers for taking the new ones under their wing.

“Overwhelmed” is the word! Thank you so much for coming to my Silver Jubilee celebration last Friday and for making my family
and friends so welcome. With a full church, over twenty clergy on the sanctuary, a wonderful liturgy provided by our regulars, the
glorious reception by “Our Lady’s Ladies” and hospitality provided by the Club. Everyone rose to the occasion, it really was a natural
parish celebration and we all had a marvellous time.
Thank you for your generosity with the £1,034.63 parish collection, the countless cards, gifts, prayers and good wishes, it is all very
humbling. All I can say is that it has been a privilege to serve as a priest for 25 years and I hope the Lord gives me the health and
strength to continue for a few more years yet! May God Bless you all!
