Oral Book Review
You are going to present an oral book review on the book your read independently. You will create a
presentation to go along with your 5 minute oral report which should include the items listed below.
1. Introduction
a. The name of the book
b. The name of the author
c. What type of book is it? ( a mystery , adventure , novel, science fiction, thriller,
fantasy etc).
d. Number of pages
e. The publisher

a. The setting: where does the story take place? Is the setting important to the story?
Why?
b. Who are the main characters? Describe them briefly, their personality, their
behaviour, their relationships and how they change as a result of their experiences.

Give your listeners a taste of the plot, but don't tell the end.
Conclusion
a. What did you think of this book? Did you like / dislike it? Why? Explain.
b. Would you recommend this book?
Prepare an attractive Power Point presentation to show while or after you finish
talking.
You can show some pictures related to the setting of your book, create a poster
advertising the book or show a short scene from a movie based on the book you read.
