Journal, magazine, or newsletter:

Use upper and lowercase letters for the name of the journal/magazine/newsletter and place in italics.

Include issue number only if each issue of a journal begins on page 1; if it does not, omit the issue number.

Do not include issue number for magazines or newsletters.

There is no space between volume and issue numbers 37 (3) .

Brown, D. (1996). Reply to Derald Wing Sue. Spectrum, 57 (2) , 5-7.

Always use Arabic (4), not Roman (IV), numerals, even if the source uses

Roman.

Page numbers:

For most articles, page numbers must be included.

One exception is an entire special issue of a journal. Note that [Special issue] is indicated with the title of the issue.

For publications of limited circulation:

For association newsletters, organization monthly magazines, and so on that aren’t easily accessible to the public, list the publisher location and name.
