TE Laboratories collaborate with DCU to develop innovative products to
monitor environmental waters
TE Laboratories, an indigenous company based in Tullow,
Co. Carlow, has collaborated with the DCU research team
led by Prof. Dermot Diamond to develop a range of
innovative new products for autonomous monitoring of
environmental waters. The company launched their new
product AquamonitrixTM at the recent International Achema
Trade Show in Frankfurt in June 2012. AquamonitrixTM is an
easy-to-use, portable, field deployable device with
applications in monitoring surface water and industrial waste
water. AquamonitrixTM measures pH, nitrate and nitrite
simultaneously in real-time, with wireless remote monitoring.
This innovative microfluidic device enables in-situ calibration
and high frequency measurements over long deployment periods.
The collaboration with DCU and funding supports from Enterprise Ireland has
enabled TE Laboratories to access innovative technology and expand their business
from lab based testing into the autonomous sensing market.
