Addendum For
Installation of HVAC system in a building at IST, Islamabad
Points raised during pre-bid meeting held on 25 Oct 2013 are as under:-.
1. Date of Bid Submission
Bids will be received on 04 Nov 2013 before 1000 hours and will be opened on
same date at 1030 hrs.
2. Item 1 Total outdoor units are 15 as given in this item, Unit No 16 shown does not exist and
may be ignored.
3. Item 2 is for 100% fresh Air Units with humidifiers, based on 43.9 deg C dry bulb and 28,3
deg C wet bulb C temperature in summer and 0.6 deg C dry bulb and 99% RH in winter.
4. Item 3 & 4 is related to Indoor units. The Indoor Units Given In Schedule On Drawing No 1
Are Correct, As Per Following Details:
a. Floor and Number Wise Indoor Units In BOQ (Wall Mounted, Cassette Type & Floor
Mounted Are As Under:
i.
The Unit # 58 To 73 (1.5 Tons) 16 Units Are Wall Mounted. On Lower Ground
Units No 158, 159 And 160 Units Have Been Changed From Cassette To Vertical
type, However, 158-A, 159-A and 160-A are New Addition as Stand-By Vertical
Units. Rest Of The Units are all Cassette Type.
b. All Cost Of Y-Connectors And The Cost Of Expansion Valves Will Be Included In
The Cost Of Units.

5. Item 5 Supply And Installation Of Sheet Metal Ducting Complete In All Respect As Shown
On The Drawings, Complete With Accessories Hangers, Supports & As Approved By The
Engineer/Consultant:

7 Item 7 Supply& installation of Refnet Y Connectors for phase 1 as per specification and
thickness shall not be less than 18 gaugeand shall be included in the cost of indoor units.
8 Item 8 Supply and Installation of refrigerant pipes type L thickness not less than 20
gauge (Liquid+Gas) with expanded rubber foam insulation for Multi Split type A/C units
good quality cable try from each FCU to outdoor units installed on roof top, including
control wiring, Flushing, gas charging, hangers, supports and brackets of following sizes
all refrigerant pipes should be in PVC Dura Duct as approved by the Engineer/consultant:

14 Item No 14Supply and installation of Best quality PVC water tank 500 gallons normally
used as overhead tank for condensate including level automatic controller with upper and
lower level sensor complete in all respect as approved by the
Engineer/consultant.Quantity-1 No.
15 Item No 15Supply & installation of Centrifugal Pump as specified (25 GPM) against 20
ft head, suitable to throw condensate water collected in the tank from basement to lower
ground floor in open space as shown on the drawings through automatic water level
controller complete in all respect and as approved by the Engineer/consultants.

16 Item No 16Supply and installation of electrical DB for air conditioning with incoming
and outgoing circuit breakers with AEG/ Hager/Terasaki/Fuji/BB including bus bar volt
