DEED – ALEXANDER & ANN HARRISON TO SON ALEXANDER
To all Christian People to whome these presents shall Come I Alexander Harrison and Anne
Harrison my wife of Accomack County in the Colony of Virginia Planter & spinster send
Greeting whereas there is a certain tract of Land and plantation whereon wee now live in the
County aforesd Containing by Estimacon two hundred acres of Land wch sd Land was Given to
my wife Anne Harrison as aforesd by the Last Will & testament of her son Phillip Quinton
Late deceased beareing date December ye 17th: 1708 wch sd Land is bounded as Followeth lying
& being ar ye head of Onancock branch being bounded Notherly to Richard Cutlers Land &
Easterly bounded to the Land formerly belonging to Coll: John West deceased.
NOW KNOW YEE that wee Alexander Harrison and Anne my wife as aforesd for a valuable
Consideracon of the Tender Love and Affection wee have and doe beare to oure son Alexander
Harrison after oure Deaths doe Give Grant Aliean Enfeoff & Confirme & by these presents doe
freely & absolutely Give Grant Aliean Efneoff & Confirme (oure Lives Excepted) unto oure son
Alexander Harrison aforesd the sd two hundred acres of Land & Plantation as aforesd to him and
his heirs Lawfully begotten of his body for Ever, TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the sd two
hundred Acres of Land togeather with all Houses Edifices buildings orchards Gardens fences
pastures woods under woods water water Courses and all other the Appurtenances thereunto
belonging or any wise appertaining after oure decease as aforesd to the only proper use and
behooffe of him ye sd Alexander Harrison as aforesd to him & his heires as aforesd and for want
of such heirs as aforesd to ye only proper use & behoofe of oure two Daughters Sarah Harrison
and Susannah Harrison & their heirs for Ever, after oure decease as aforesd soe that no other
person or persons whatsoever after oure decd: shall at any time or times after oure decease as
aforesd sake Challeng clame or demand any Right title Intrest whatsoever or any part or parcell
thereof but from the same to be utterly Excluded & for Ever debarred, and wee the sd Alexander
Harrison and Anne my wife doe Covenant promise and Grant to and with ye sd Alexander
Harrison oure son as aforesd & his heirs Lawfully begotten as aforesd that we have full power
and Lawfull authority to Give Grant & Confirme ye same and ye sd land premises after oure
decease, shall Convirt and be the proper Estate of ye sd Alexander Harrison & his heires
Lawfully begotten as aforesd and for wante of such heirs then to be ye proper Estates of Sarah
and Susannah and theire heirs as aforesd for Ever from all manner of Guifts Grants Bargains
Sailes Leases Feoffmts dowers Entailes Execucons Extents fines forfeitures Issues & amerciemts:
wtsoever and that ye sd Land & premises wth ye appurtenances thereunto belonging wee doe give
and Grant unto the said Alexander Harrison & his heirs Lawfully begotten as aforesd for Ever
(oure Lives Excepted & for want of such heirs as aforesd then to Sarah & Susannah & theire
heires aforesd for Ever to have Quiet and peaceable possession of the sd Land as aforesd after our
decease, and ye sd Land, ye sd Alexander oure son to take possession after oure decease & ye
same to Injoy to his owne proper use and behoofe from ye clame trouble or disturbance of any
person or persons whatsoever Laying any Claime or Intrest to the same after oure decease; the
rents & services yt shall groe due & pauable to the Chieff Lord or Lords of ye Fees only Excepted
& foreprised IN WITNESS whereof & other ye premises wee have hereunto sett oure hands &
