Type Details: The Ege University Medical School (EUMS) Vaccine Research
Laboratory (VRL) has standart equipment and expertise for the development of DNA
and recombinant protein vaccines. The lab also has capability to select vaccine
candidate antigens by immunogenic genome scanning using proteomic plates.

Emerging infections such as Avian Influenza virus (H5N1), Crimean-Congo
haemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV) often causes fatal outbreaks in humans, in Turkey
and EC. The development of a protective vaccine which can prevent the
consequences of these infections is an attractive alternative.
Thus, with the expertise in our field, we are interested in joining a consortium that
has aims to select vaccine candidate antigens from genomes and develop vaccine
strategies against highly contagious emerging pathogens.
