DEPARTMENT OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
MERIT PAY GUIDELINES
___________________________________ _January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2006___
Faculty Member
Year Evaluated
In making recommendations for merit pay, the Chair should take into consideration three
major areas – teaching, service, and scholarly and creative activities. To be considered
for merit pay in any one area, a faculty member must meet the minimal requirements
listed as “Required of all Faculty” in that area. To receive merit pay, the faculty member
must demonstrate meritorious behaviors in any of the areas of criteria listed for
meritorious performance. Each item for which the faculty demonstrates meritorious
behavior will be rated from 1 to 5 (1 = lowest meritorious behavior, 5 = highest
meritorious behavior). Criteria for merit are not weighted.
Faculty will complete the “Required of all Faculty” section ONLY for this review
period (by the motion and unanimous vote 11/11/03).
