The Council on Compulsive Gambling of Pennsylvania is proud to join with our co-sponsors to present
this year’s statewide gambling conference in Harrisburg. As part of our ongoing mission to advocate for
increased services for problem gamblers and their families, we are pleased to present our most extensive
training program to date. Please join us to hear national experts on gambling treatment address basic
and advanced topics in clinical care, research and prevention.

Psychiatrists, psychologists, addiction counselors, social workers, mental health counselors, educators,
pastoral counselors, EAP’s, law enforcement, pastors, gaming industry members and those from the
recovering community.

Continuing Education:
Continuing Education hours have been applied for by the conference committee for psychologists, social
workers, EAP’s, addiction counselors. Attendees will be issued certificates of attendance reflecting the
number of earned CEU hours. Up to 30 hours may be awarded. These IGCCB-approved training hours
meet national gambling specific training requirements.
This program is co-sponsored by the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic and Preferred Systems, Inc. Behavioral
Health Program. Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic is approved by the American Psychological Association to
offer continuing education credits for psychologists. Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic maintains responsibility
for this program and its content. This program is being offered for 30 possible continuing education credits.

The Holiday Inn East is conveniently located near several major highways in south central Pennsylvania.
For fun and relaxation during your stay, take advantage of the indoor pool, poolside food service,
recreation and game room, 24-hour fitness center and year-round outdoor Jacuzzi. Please be sure to

From exciting Hershey Park to a relaxing riverboat cruise on the Pride of the Susquehanna, from an
enjoyable night at the Harrisburg Symphony to a tour on a 1920’s railroad train or a City Island carriage
ride Harrisburg has it all. Among shopping options, choose from antique shops, the Harrisburg Mall, or
over 30 stores at the Hershey Outlet Mall. The Holiday Inn East is 8 minutes from Hershey and 5 minutes
from Historic Harrisburg.
The Council will hold an ice cream social reception on Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 to
welcome all registrants.

International Gambling Counselor Certification Examination Requirements: Please go to www.ptcny.com for details, scroll to IGCCB.
Requirements for NCGC I include: Bachelors degree or equivalent in a behavioral health field. At least 30 approved gambling specific
training hours and 100 hours of supervised clinical work with problem gamblers and/or families with signature of a Board Approved
Clinical Consultant (BACC). A list of BACC’s and further details can be found at: www.ncpgambling.org, click on Counselors. (If you have
been participating in state funded BACC conference calls in Ohio, Indiana, Oklahoma, Arizona, New York, Missouri or North Carolina your
hours are already registered for you).
