Chemistry Summer Preparation
This class is a unique fit for Chemistry at Huntington Beach High
School and it is open to all students wishing to take Chemistry in the fall
semester. This three week intensive class is equivalent to almost an
entire year of high school College Prep Chemistry; however, you will
not receive a grade or credit on your high school transcript.
What is this class?
This class is for students who have not fulfilled the school
prerequisites for Chemistry. This class will use internet tools, in addition
to a rapid course schedule. All of the basic foundational skills and
premises will be encompassed by this course and there will be no lab
requirement. This class will prepare you for a placement exam that will
be administered on Monday July 1st. Students will be given feedback
from this exam the following day accompanied by an extensive
counseling session designed to help them achieve their desired academic
goals.
When will this class be held?
This class will run from Monday June 18th through Tuesday July
3 7:30-12 in room I-5, and the cost will be $ 185 (subject to change).

Who will be teaching it?
Mr. Ostrowski, the AP Chemistry teacher at Huntington, will teach
this class with the help of former students who are well versed in the
subject.
