Hello Room __ FamiliesThe week of May 3-7 is "Teacher Appreciation Week" at Morning Creek. The PTA is
asking all the classes to take some time to pay tribute to their teachers. It won't take
you and your child but a few minutes, and I think we will be able to make this a very
special week for Mrs. ____________________.
On Monday, please send your child to school with a piece of fruit. We will use the fruit
to compile a beautiful basket of fruit for Miss ________________ to enjoy. We will present
her with the fruit by the first recess.
On Tuesday, we will give Miss ______________ her favorite coffee drink from Starbucks and
some yummy treats. If anyone would like to pick-up the coffee or make the morning
treat (muffins, scones, bread, etc.) that would be wonderful! Please let me know.
On Wednesday, we will celebrate reading! (She loves to read!) She will receive a
poster, and cards, with our children's favorite "fantastic adjectives" and a little gift. On
the enclosed papers that read, "Reading is ________!" please have your child write in a
fantastic adjective.
On Thursday, they will receive a note of appreciation and a gift, and all of the children
should wear either blue or purple. Blue and purple are her two favorite colors! What a
great picture it will make.
On Friday, we will present them with scrapbooks. Enclosed you will find two 4x6 pieces
of white card stock paper. On this paper please have your child write "I love Miss
____________ because..." and then sign the note with "Love, ...." or "From, ...."
Please return both the “fantastic adjective” papers and scrapbook papers in the
homework folder next Wednesday, April 28th. And please try to keep our projects a
secret... even from the kids... Let's see if we can surprise Miss _______________!
