“Humidity is the experience of looking for air and finding water.”
The Outcome addressed on this assessment:
Using scientific Theory, identify questions, illustrate, and explain heat energy transfers that occur
in the water cycle.
What this means:
Water vapor is a major factor in heat transfer around the globe. The water vapor in our air is part of
the water cycle.
The Activity:
You will be answering questions based on the cartoons found below.

1. Both people in the cartoon are quite sweaty, but are not undergoing vigorous exercise. How
can this be an indicator of the fact that it is a very humid day?
2. The cartoonist added fish in the air behind the two “fisher-people”. Although exaggerated, how
does the presence of the fish indicate that the day is quite humid?
