Conferred a Master of Science degree in Criminology.
BACKGROUND:
Born and reared in Old Forge, PA.
President of Old Forge High School Junior and Senior Class.
Member of WRKC-King’s College Radio for four years.
Co-owner and operator of Photo Metrics Light Show (stage
lighting for musical acts): 1973 - 1981.
Volunteer softball coach for the Old Forge Girls Softball
League from 1992 to 2002. Elected officer for that League
from 1996 to 2002. Head Basketball coach (volunteer) for St.
Mary’s grade school Warriors girls’ basketball team from 1995
to 2000.

Lackawanna County Adult Probation - Parole Office, P.O. Box
126, Scranton, PA. 18501. – Director. My duties include
supervising the Adult Probation and Parole Department of
Lackawanna County, PA, including supervising the staff of
Probation-Parole officers and other employees, preparing the
budget, evaluating office policy, writing procedure, assuring
compliance with Pa. Board standards and overseeing the
general direction and day to day operation of the Adult
Probation & Parole Office. Retired in March, 2013
09/89 to 02/09:
Lackawanna County Adult Probation - Parole Office, P.O. Box
126, Scranton, PA. 18501. - Assistant Director. My duties
include assisting in the administration of the Adult Probation
and Parole Office, which includes a staff of 31 officers, 1 aide

and a secretarial staff of 4. Duties include preparing the
budget, implementing and evaluating office policy and
procedure, assisting in grant writing and direct supervision of
three supervisors and all other office staff.
03/78 to 09/89:
Lackawanna County Adult Probation - Parole Office. - Adult
Probation and Parole Officer whose primary duties included
direct supervision of 50 to 100 adults on county probation or
parole. I was also responsible for the completion of court
ordered PRESENTENCE investigations on individuals
convicted of crimes. This included a thorough background
check and five to twelve page written report on the
individual.
10/77 to 03/78
Human Service Consultants, Wilkes Barre, PA. - A relief
house parent in a group home for mentally challenged adults.
These adults were in their own apartments. I was responsible
for the administration of their daily living habits, such as
assisting the residents in money management, cooking,
cleaning, etc.
05/77 to 09/77
Catholic Social Agency, Allentown, Pa. - A relief house parent
in a group home for three juvenile delinquents. I was
responsible for complete care of the juveniles in their domicile.

EXPERIENCE:
During college, I was employed at American Party Favor (two
years), Boy’s Club of America (summer), Lackawanna County
(summer), King’s College and the Jewish Community Center
(senior year). From 1985 to 1994, I was employed part-time at
Kimberly/Quality Care-Olsen Home Health Services, as a
recreational aide for mentally challenged adults and children.
I was Chairman of the Citizens Advisory Committee
of the Pa. Board of Probation and Parole, Scranton District
Office for three years and a member of that committee from
1998 to 2010.
I was also on the Lackawanna County Domestic Violence Task
Force from 1998 to 2013.
I have been a member of the Pa. Adult Probation Chiefs
Association from 1990 to 2013.
