Bethel’s catalog and transfer information can be viewed at www.bethel.edu. It can
be sent to you and it is available in the College of DuPage counseling office.
This transfer guide is designed to help a student at College of DuPage easily choose
courses to take at College of DuPage that will satisfy most of Bethel general
education (core curriculum) requirements. Unless otherwise indicated, one (1)
course from each area will satisfy that gen ed requirement. Pages 16-31 in the 20112012 Bethel catalog provides further information regarding Bethel’s transfer and
general education requirements. In most cases, with careful planning you will be
able to fulfill College of DuPage’s curriculum objectives, while also completing
coursework that Bethel requires. Contact Bethel or College of DuPage for
assistance with your planning.
Here are some additional guidelines to consider:
-Most courses required for a specific academic major should be taken at Bethel.
-Any College of DuPage course taken to satisfy a requirement for a major at
Bethel should be approved by the specific academic department at Bethel.
-Bethel’s programs are designed to be completed in 4 years. Early
communication with you will allow Bethel to help you to determine when
it is best for you to transfer.
-Courses that are listed under more than one category can only count once.
Students can choose which category they prefer.
-A grade of ‘C’ or higher is required on each course to be accepted by Bethel.
-An official transcript must be sent to Bethel once the course is completed and
grade is posted.
