ADAM BIEGEL

Adam Biegel is a partner in the Atlanta office of Alston & Bird LLP specializing in antitrust

counseling and litigation and other complex commercial litigation matters. He has subs tantial experience representing corporate clients on antitrust issues, including pricing, jo int ventures, distribution, merger clearances under the Hart‐Scott‐Rodino Act, governm ent investigations and antitrust compliance, particularly in the health care and chemical sectors. He regularly represents clients before the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust

Division, the Federal Trade Commission and state competition authorities. Mr. Biegel h as been recognized for his antitrust expertise by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawy ers for Business, The Best Lawyers in America and Georgia Super Lawyers. He currently serves on the governing Council of the American Bar Association Section of Antitrust La w, having previously chaired its Corporate Counseling Committee. He also is a member of the board of the State Bar of Georgia’s Antitrust Section and vice president of the Fed eralist Societys Atlanta Lawyers Chapter. He speaks and writes regularly on antitrust top ics and has contributed to publications by West, Global Legal Group, the ABA Antitrust a nd Business Law sections and the Georgia Academy of Health Attorneys.

Mr. Biegel served as a law clerk to the Hon. Frank M. Hull, U.S. Court of Appeals for the E leventh Circuit, and, before attending law school, worked as a reporter for the Arkansas

Democrat‐Gazettein Little Rock, Arkansas, and on the legislative staff of U.S. Senator Orr in G. Hatch in Washington, D.C. He received his B.A. (summa cum laude) from Emory Un iversity and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
