which shall be held an integral part of the present Agreement. The annexes to the Agreement are presented in the
“ERASMUS Information System” column of the webpage of the Vilnius University Career Center at www.karjera.vu.lt.
CONDITIONS
ARTICLE 1: THE OBJECTIVE OF THE AGREEMENT
The present Agreement shall regulate the obligations of each party hereto with regard to the received financial aid for the
teaching visit to Vilnius University from the European Community and the additional funds from the State Budget of the
Republic of Lithuania, allocated for the implementation of the ERASMUS sub-programme of the EU Lifelong Learning
Programme under the Agreement between the Promoter and the Educational Exchange Support Fund agreement,
hereinafter referred to as “the ERASMUS Grant for Teaching”.
ARTICLE 2: PURPOSE OF THE ERASMUS GRANT FOR TEACHING
2.1. The ERASMUS grant for teaching shall be allocated for covering of the Participant’s expenses for traveling and
living, relating to the teaching visit at Vilnius University for the time period, specified in Article 3.1.
2.2. The traveling expenses cover the expenses for traveling to Lithuania by means of transport of all types, with the
exception of cars and taxi cabs and for traveling on the territory of Lithuania by means of transport of all types, where
they are related to the objectives of the ERASMUS teaching visit, as well as the expenses for traveling by means of
transport of all types on the territory of the sending country (by a taxi cab – only on the territory of the city, where the
Participant lives) to and from the sea port or the airport, railway or bus station on the dates of the Participant’s traveling
to and from the ERASMUS teaching visit, at the lowest tariffs.
2.3. Accommodation, travel insurance expenses and per diem shall be equated to the expenses for living in Lithuania.
2.4. The Participant shall accept the ERASMUS teaching grant and perform the teaching visit under the terms and
conditions, specified in Annex 1, being fully responsible for his/her actions.
2.5. The Participant acknowledges that he/she has read and accepted the provisions of the present Agreement and
annexes hereto.
2.6. The Participant is fully responsible for the execution of his/her obligations, undertaken under the present Agreement.
ARTICLE 3: THE DURATION AND LOCATION OF THE ACTIVITIES
3.1. The Participant undertakes to give lectures at Vilnius University according to the ERASMUS sub-programme of the

ARTICLE 4: THE AMOUNT OF THE ERASMUS GRANT FOR TEACHING
4.1. The maximum amount of the grant, allocated by the European Community and the State Budget of the Republic of
Lithuania for funding of the ERASMUS teaching visit to Vilnius University for the time period, specified in Article 3.1.
amounts to EUR ___ (correspondingly LTL ____), under the Rules for use of the funds of the EU Lifelong Learning
Programme for mobility of staff in 2009-2010 under the ERASMUS sub-programme and Order No. ISAK-1898
“On Implementation of the Higher Education Programmes of the European Union” of the Minister of Education
and Science of 22/09/2009.
4.2. The final amount of the ERASMUS teaching grant shall be calculated and may be reduced according to the actual
traveling and living expenses, not exceeding the amount, specified in Article 4.1.:

4.2.1. The actual traveling expenses shall be covered in accordance with the Rules for covering of business trip
expenses by state budget institutions, approved by Resolution No. 526 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania
of 29/04/2004 (Official Gazette Valstybės Žinios 2004, No. 74-2555), Article 7.3.
4.2.2. The actual expenses for living in Lithuania shall be covered in accordance with the Order No. R-189 of the
Rector of 17/09/2009, which establishes a EUR 115 norm per day for living expenses per days during teaching visits to
Vilnius University.
ARTICLE 5: FINANCING OF THE ACTIVITIES OF THE PARTICIPANT
5.1. The Sending Organization undertakes to cover for the following from its own funds before / after the Erasmus
teaching visit:
5.1.1. Living expenses (including per diem, accommodation and travel insurance) amounting to EUR ____ to the
Participant;
5.1.2. The Participant’s actual traveling expenses to the Participant / service provider.
5.2. The Sending Organization undertakes to make the payment to the Participant from its own funds, within the time
period of 7 (seven) days upon the end of the ERASMUS teaching visit for the actual local travel expenses along the
following directions:
5.2.1. The place of residence of the Participant – The international airport of the Sending Country – The place of
residence of the Participant;
5.2.2. Vilnius International Airport – The living place of the Participant during the visit – Vilnius International Airport;
5.2.3. The living place of the Participant during the visit – Vilnius University - The living place of the Participant during
the visit.
5.3. The amounts for the expenses, specified in Articles 5.1.1. and 5.2. of the present Agreement shall be transferred to
the Participant to the bank account, specified in Article 8.2. of the present Agreement.
5.4. The amounts for the expenses, specified in Article 5.1.2. of the present Agreement shall be transferred to the
Participant to the bank account, specified in Article 8.2. of the present Agreement / the service provider to the bank
account, specified in the invoice.
5.5. The payments shall be held made on the date of charging off of the amounts off the bank account of the Sending
Organization.
5.6. No withdrawal of cash from the bank account of the Sending Organization shall be allowed.
ARTICLE 6: REPORTS
6.1. The Participant shall, within the time period of 3 (three) business days upon the end of the ERASMUS teaching
visit present the original copies of the following documents to the Sending Organization:
6.1.1. The Participant’s report on the ERASMUS teaching visit to Vilnius University (2 copies);
6.1.2. The document, evidencing the objective and duration of the ERASMUS teaching visit for invited staff from nonacademic organizations (1 copy);
6.1.3. The travel ticket (and boarding pass in case of the flight);
6.1.4. Documents, evidencing local travel expenses.
In case the Participant fails to present the documents, specified in Articles 6.1.1., 6.1.2., 6.1.3 and 6.1.4. of the present
Agreement, or fails to implement the objectives, established by the present Agreement by his/her unilateral decision, or
terminates the Agreement unilaterally, or in case of existence of other circumstances, not depending on the Sending
Organization, the Participant shall immediately return the amounts, paid by the Sending Organization back to the
Sending Organization.

6.2. The Sending Organization, upon receiving the documents, specified in Article 6.1 of the present Agreement shall,
within the time period of 30 (thirty) calendar days provide the following documents to the Promoter:

The original copy of the Participant’s report on the ERASMUS teaching visit to Vilnius University;
Copies of the documents, evidencing the local travel expenses, confirmed by the Sending Organization;
Copies of the travel ticket (and boarding pass in case of the flight), confirmed by the Sending
Organization;
A copy of the invoice from the travel agency, confirmed by the Sending Organization, specifying the
following: the route of the travel in economy class, the date of purchase of the ticket, the forename and
surname of the participant and the price in Euros;
A copy of the bank receipt on the transfer of own funds for covering of the Participants’ living
expenses, confirmed by the Sending Organization;
A copy of the bank receipt on the transfer of own funds for covering of the Participants’ traveling
expenses, confirmed by the Sending Organization;
A copy of the bank receipt on the transfer of own funds for covering of the Participants’ local travel
expenses, confirmed by the Sending Organization.
The Promoter, upon receiving the documents, specified in Article 6.2. of the present Agreement shall confirm or refuse
to confirm the said documents and require to submit new documents, in case the submitted documents fail to comply
with the requirements, raised by the ERASMUS sub-programme of the EU Lifelong Learning Programme and Order No.
ISAK-1898 “On Implementation of the Higher Education Programmes of the European Union” of the Minister of
Education and Science of 22/09/2009.
6.3. The Sending Organization shall forward the documents, specified in Article 6.2. of the Agreement to the following

ARTICLE 7: PAYMENT OF THE ERASMUS GRANT FOR TEACHING
7.1. The ERASMUS grant for teaching shall be paid to the Sending Organization after the Participant completes the
teaching visit and upon taking into consideration the actual implementation of the activities.
7.2. The amount, paid to the Sending Organization shall not exceed the maximum amount of the ERASMUS grant for
teaching, specified in Article 4.1. of the present Agreement.
7.3. The payment shall be made upon receiving the written request of the Sending Organization with regard to payment
of the ERASMUS grant for teaching and the documents, specified in Article 6.2. of the present Agreement within the
time periods, specified in Article 6.2. of the present Agreement.
7.4. The request of the Sending Organization and the documents, specified in Article 6.2. of the present Agreement shall
be forwarded to Vilnius University Career Center to the address, specified in Article 6.3. of the present Agreement.
7.5. After Vilnius University Career Center confirms the request of the Sending Organization and the documents,
specified in Article 6.2. of the present Agreement and informs the Cash Accounting Division of the Finance and
Economics Direction of Vilnius University in writing, the ERASMUS grant for teaching, referring to the presented
documents, evidencing the actual expenses, shall be transferred to the bank account of the Sending Organization,
specified in Article 8.1. of the present Agreement within the time period of 45 (forty-five) calendar days.
7.6. The payment shall be made in Euros. Conversion of the actual expenses to Euros shall be made by applying the
official foreign currency exchange rate, set by the Bank of Lithuania.
7.7. The payment shall be held made on the date of charging off of the amounts from the bank account of the Promoter.
7.8. In case the Sending Organization fails to execute the essential obligations, undertaken under the conditions of the
present Agreement and the annexes hereto, the Promoter may suspend the payment of the ERASMUS grant for teaching.

ARTICLE 8: THE BANK ACCOUNTS
8.1. The ERASMUS grant for teaching shall be transferred in Euros to the bank account of the Sending Organization,
specified below:

8.2. The Sending Organization shall transfer its amounts, comitted for coverage of the Participant’s living, traveling and

ARTICLE 9: THIRD PARTY LIABILITY
9.1. Neither the Promoter nor the Sending Organization shall undertake liability for any complaints or claims with regard
to any damage to the property or personal injuries during the ERASMUS teaching visit. In case of any of the
aforementioned cases, the Promoter and the Sending Organization shall bear no claims with regard to indemnification or
covering of the damages. The Participant shall remain fully liable to the third parties for any incurred damage.
ARTICLE 10: TERMINATION OF THE AGREEMENT
In case any of the parties hereto fails to execute its obligations, undertaken under the present Agreement, the Promoter
shall, without taking into consideration the consequences, prescribed by the valid laws, be entitled to terminate the
present Agreement without any further judicial formalities, in case no party takes action within the time period of one
month as of the date of receipt of the notification, forwarded by registered mail.
ARTICLE 11: THE APPLICABLE LEGISLATION AND RESOLUTION OF DISPUTES
Any disputes, arising by and between the parties with regard to interpretation or application of the provisions of the
present Agreement shall be attempted to be resolved by mutual agreement by and between the parties. In case of failure
to reach such an agreement the dispute shall be further resolved according to the procedures, prescribed by the legislation
of the Republic of Lithuania.
When executing the present Agreement the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania is observed as long as it is not in
conflict with the treaties with the European Community.
ARTICLE 12: SUPPLEMENTS OR AMENDMENTS TO THE AGREEMENT
The present Agreement may be supplemented or amended only by a separate arrangement by and between the parties
hereto, undersigning such amendment.

ARTICLE 13: DURATION OF THE AGREEMENT
13.1. The present Agreement shall enter into effect upon its undersigning by all the parties.
13.2. The Agreement shall remain in effect till all the parties effect full settlement, i. e. till the full reimbursement of the
amounts to the Sending Organization.
13.3. The parties undersign the present Agreement to confirm that its text expresses their will in all respects.

The present Agreement has been drawn in the English language in three counterparts of equal legal power, one for each
