: Fe ions were selected to implant into asdeposited TiO2 films prepared by sol-gel
method to improve the visible-light photocatalytic effect of the films. Then Ag nanoparticles were deposited on the surfaces of the
Fe-doped films by electron beam irradiation
technique to enhance the photo-catalytic
activity. The results of photo-catalytic
degradation of methyl orange indicate that
Fe/TiO2 films are more efficient than TiO2
films under visible light but less efficient under
UV light. And Ag/Fe/TiO2 films exhibit
excellent photo-catalytic ability than that of
Fe/TiO2 films and TiO2 films either under
visible light or under UV light.
