Description
For inflammation. PubMed Health: Meloxicam is used to relieve pain,
tenderness, swelling, and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis and rheumatoid
arthritis. Meloxicam is in a class of medications called nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by stopping the body's production of
a substance that causes pain, fever, and inflammation.
For migraine (prevention). Drugs.com: Topamax (topiramate) is a seizure
medication (anticonvulsant). Topamax is also used to prevent migraine
headaches in adults. It will only prevent migraine headaches or reduce the
number of attacks. It will not treat a headache that has already begun.
For Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. PubMed Health: Levothyroxine, a thyroid
hormone, is used to treat hypothyroidism.
For nerve pain resulting from MS. PubMed Health: Gabapentin is in a class
of medications called anticonvulsants. Gabapentin treats seizures by
decreasing abnormal excitement in the brain. Gabapentin relieves the pain
of postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) by changing the way the body senses pain.
For vertigo/nausea. PubMed Health: Meclizine is used to prevent and treat
nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness. It is most
effective if taken before symptoms appear.
