Hackney WickED Art Festival 2014 – 1st-3rd August 2014
Pop-up Venue/Events Risk Assessment
Template to be filled in by each participating artist/venue.
Please Tick (or 'X') each activity that applies to you, add any additional controls that you have in place.
Please add any additional assessable activities you are planning.
This Risk Assessment must be filled in as part of the HWAF 2014 submissions process and will form part of the overall Hackney WickED Art
Festival Risk Assessment.
Artists and venues who do not submit this Risk Assessment, along with accompanying documents, will be unable to open as part of the
festival. The Production Management Team, who have been employed by Hackney WickED CIC to carry out all H&S procedures for HWAF
2014, will need to do a full studio, gallery and pop up spaces inspection on either Thursday 31st July or Friday 1st August before signing off on
each artists submission.
Open Studios, Galleries, and other Pop-up Spaces will need to submit a copy of their Public Liability Insurance with this Risk Assessment.
This Risk Assessment is only valid for the event specified above. It may be passed on to contractors, venue managers, enforcing authorities and any
other persons who are impacted by, or have powers over, the activities outlined in this documentation. Please communicate any adjustments or accidents
to the production management team to ensure that the risk assessment document is updated.
Most risks can be reduced by good housekeeping and it is everyones responsibility to do this.
The term 'hazard' means activity or equipment that has the potential to cause harm.
The term 'risk' refers to the probability (or likelihood) of that harm happening and the severity of the consequences. The extent of the risk should also
take into account the number of people exposed to the harm.
This risk assessment gives only the Residual risks. The Residual Risk is the remaining level once the proposed control measure are applied.
