JOB SUMMARY:
Provides full responsibility for coordinating and making decisions about
patient care.

DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:










Provides direct care to patients and families.
Works with physicians and health care team members to plan and
evaluate patient care.
Scheduling and coordinating procedures, tests, new referrals,
admissions, and appointments.
Helps to assess, develop, coordinate, and revise teaching programs
Provides in-service instruction for nurses.
Evaluates patient outcomes and cost-effectiveness of care.
Designing, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices
Prescribing and administering medications.
Serves as a consultant to other nurses and health-care
professionals.
Performs other tasks and duties within the scope of the knowledge,
skills, and experience required for the job, as assigned by the
immediate supervisor.

EDUCATION AND
LICENSURE:


BS in Nursing and ONS certification
Must hold current license

PROFESSIONAL
EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 3 years bedside experience

SPECIALIZED
KNOWLEDGE:

Minimum of 3 years Paediatric ICU experience.
