1. You are the sniper. The morning after the shoot-out, you sit and write a letter to your mother, in

he be passionate about the war?)
b. The basic details of what happened on the roof top – how would you describe it to your
own mother? Would you try to make excuses?
c. How you feel, and how this event has affected or changed you.
d. Your piece should be in letter format, 1-2 pages double spaced.
2. Describe the scene the next time the sniper meets his parents.
a. How does he tell them the news (or does he try to hide it?) What details does he share?
b. How do they react to this knowledge?
c. Does he try to defend his action?
d. Will they forgive him?
e. Your piece should be in prose/story format – include description and dialogue (properly
formatted). Your story should be 1½ - 2 pages long, double spaced.
