Varsity Football Pregame Information to Visiting Schools Playing in Berry Stadium:
DATE:
VISITING TEAM GUIDELINES:

Roster:
Please send/fax a roster of your squad in numerical order indicating name, position,
height, weight and year in school at least one week prior to the contest.

Directions:
Take exit #145 go east on Fillmore. Fillmore changes to Circle at Union Blvd continue
on Circle to Constitution go West on Constitution and turn north onto Glenn Summer Rd.
Drop athletes off on south end of Glenn Summer and go up the stairs to the field house.

Bus Parking:
(Team and/or spectator buses) Team bus(es) should be parked next to the curb next to the
baseball field on Glenn Summer Rd.

Locker Room:
Gerry Berry has a new locker facility located at the south end of the stadium. The visitor
locker room is the east room closest to the stairs from Glenn Summer Rd.

Location:
South side adjacent to South Parking Lot

Field:
Stadium will be open for warm-up one hour before game time.
PREGAME WARM-UP:

Please complete your starting lineups and send to the press box twenty (20) minutes before the game starts.

Visitors will use South half of field. At half time the first team out goes to the north end of the field.

Visitors will use team box area on the East side.

Five (5) minutes to game time the National Anthem will be played.

Field phones: Each team must provide your own field phones.

First Aid: A doctor and a trainer are on-site. There is no ambulance on site, but if one is required, the
burden of expense will be on the school requesting the service.

Half Time:
--Extended half-time = 20 minutes--Regular half-time = 15 minutes—

VISITING SPECTATOR GUIDELINES:

Parking – On Glenn Summer Rd. and Patrician Way.

Seating area - East side. (Fans are not permitted to cross the playing field area.)

Concession area - Located on both sides of the stadium.

Ticket Booths: Entrance is on the East side of the stadium. Ticket booths will open one hour before game
time.
**District #11 has a No Re-Entry policy during the course of the game.**

Ticket Prices:

Passes: We will honor league passes on all opponents.

$2.00 (including high school with student ID)

GENERAL ITEMS:

Cheerleaders:
Cheerleaders in uniform will be allowed on the track area inside the field.

Noisemakers:
No artificial noisemakers will be allowed.

Confetti:
Confetti or paper throwing is not permitted.

Press Box:
Two statisticians will be allowed in the Press Box. With a 3-day advance request, one
additional large booth will be available for the visiting administration. No one else will
be allowed in the press box.

Security:
Uniformed security by the Colorado Springs Police Department and the district security
office will be on duty.
Visitor site administrators are asked to notify the security at the gate of your whereabouts
should it be necessary to locate you.
Sideline areas are to be kept clear of spectators at all times.

Video-taping:
Videotaping will be provided by District 11 upon request. Otherwise one video person
will be allowed on the press box to video.

Ball Boys:
Only two (2) ball boys will be allowed on the field.

Smoking and the use of alcohol: Smoking and the use of alcohol is prohibited on school grounds or in
school facilities such as the stadium and the press box.

Media Coverage: Cable or audio coverage, please clear through Dave Eichman (719) 520-2690. CHSAA
guidelines will be followed.

PLEASE REMIND YOUR COACHES THAT ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD (INCLUDES SUNFLOWER
SEEDS AND GUM) OR DRINKS (EXCEPTION: WATER) WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE TRACK OR
FIELD. THIS IS SO WE CAN KEEP OUR NEW FIELD AS CLEAN AND PRISTINE AS POSSIBLE.
THE FOLLOWING ARE EXAMPLES OF ACTIVITIES
PROHIBITED INSIDE GARRY BERRY STADIUM










Bringing animals to events
Skateboarding or roller blading/skating or bicycle riding
Kicking or throwing or bouncing balls in spectator areas
Burning material of any kind
Using profane language or exhibiting disruptive behavior
Possession or use of tobacco or alcohol or illegal drugs
Possession of firearms or weapons of any kind
Posting of signs or banners without prior permission from stadium management
Distribution of pamphlets or brochures or advertisements
Spectators or fans or athletes’ parents entering the track or field area before or during or
after an event without permission from the stadium management
