

You will teach others about your philosopher by presenting the following:
o Philosopher Poster
o 3 Vocabulary Charts
o A significant passage, your interpretation of that passage, and your
explanation of why it is significant (Say Mean Matter Chart).

Discuss & decide the content for:
o Philosopher Poster
o Vocabulary Charts
o All Illustrations
o Significant passage (Say Mean Matter Chart)

Decide each person’s role & responsibility.
o What’s the most effective way of getting this done?
o How can jobs be delegated so that everyone is participating
equally?

Presentation Materials:
Philosopher Poster – Include the following elements:
1. Philosopher & Title of the Text, plus an illustration of that
philosopher
2. The philosopher’s thesis, or claim (in your own words)
3. Reasons the philosopher uses to support the argument (in your own
words)
4. Rhetorical devices the philosopher uses – explain how he uses them
5. Your evaluation of this philosopher’s argument – is his argument
convincing? Be sure to explain why.
6. Illustration: draw a picture or pictures that symbolizes this
philosopher’s ideas
Three Vocabulary Charts should include:
