Angelina County Farm Bureau in order to promote the development of agriculture within
our county would like to reward the participants of the Angelina County Youth Fair (ACYF) who have
chosen to exhibit County Bred and Owned animals. (These participants must meet the existing rules and
guidelines for participating in the ACYF). A monetary award will be presented to the highest placing
animal in each of these categories: steer, beef heifer, commercial heifer, swine, goat, lamb, horse gelding,
and filly.
**PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT: Must be a MEMBER of ANGELINA COUNTY FARM
BUREAU by October 1 of CURRENT YEAR.
Definition of COUNTY BRED and OWNED:
To comply with this definition, any animal whether it be a steer, beef heifer, commercial heifer, swine,
goat, lamb, filly or gelding must be conceived by a dam and sire both having been located in and owned
by a resident of Angelina County prior to breeding, during the gestation period, and after the birth of the
animal. (Breeding may be defined as natural, artificial insemination, or embryo-transplant if dam and sire
were owned and located in Angelina County prior to gestation).
Requirements include: the following application must be completed in full along with a project picture
and be turned in (*) WHEN ANIMAL IS VALIDATED by ACYF committee to Angelina County Farm
Bureau or the County Extension Office. (Incomplete forms without pictures will not be considered for
the awards.)
