Early Head Start Home Visitor Position available:
Early Head Start (MIECHV) Home Visitor: EEC Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher Certificate required;
Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Bachelors preferred. This is a unique position,
within the Early Head Start program working with pregnant mothers, children and families, primarily
in their homes. The Early Head Start Home Visitor will conduct and provide home visiting services to
10-12 identified home based families on a weekly basis and plan bi-weekly socialization groups. The
Early Head Start Home Visitor will be responsible for the shared coordination of Family and
Community Partnership, Health & Nutrition and Mental Health activities for Early Head Start home
base families. Strong written and verbal skills required and a strong capacity to problem solve,
handle crises, and work with families and children of various cultures. Valid Driver’s License and
reliable transportation required. Bilingual preferred. Full time position.
NOTE: The Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Program, a provision in
the federal Affordable Care Act, is designed to strengthen and improve programs and activities
carried out under Title V, improve coordination for at risk communities, and provide comprehensive
evidence-based home visiting services to families. Grant funded full time position.
Starting Salaries: $15.62-$19.34
 Hourly depending on Education level.
