Are you tried of seeing cigarette smokers at every public place? The government is banning all smoking from
public places and most office buildings have banned smoking to. Here are three reasons that we need a ban on
cigarette smoking. Cigarette smoke is very harmful to non-smokers. Smoking in front of young people is a bad
influence on them. Office buildings have caught on fire from someone smoking inside. I would never again like
to see people smoking in public.
Secondhand smoke is very harmful to non-smokes and causes more damage to their lungs from breathing it. It
is not as if a person will die when they smell cigarette smoke. Secondhand smoke affects everyone differently.
A couple months back our family decided to go bowling. The bowling alley we went to had a side for smokers
and a side for non-smokers. As we are non-smokers we got a line in the no smoking area. The only problem
was, there is nothing to keep the smoke from coming into our side of the room because there is no wall that
divided the two sections. The smoke affected my brother and caused him to get a sever headache. This is why I
am for the ban on smoking, because I feel that we should be able to have an enjoyable night with out worrying
about people smoking. People which smoke argue that this is a free country and should have a right to smoke
were they please. But I strongly believe that as a free country we all should have the right to do anything we
like, as long as it will not damage or affect some else's life.
A person smoking in public is a very bad influence on younger people. The more young people are exposed to
smoking the better the chance of them becoming smokers themselves. Also, young people can be encouraged to
smoke and use other addictive drugs That is why I feel the need to ban smoking in all public places.
Entire office buildings have burned to the ground because of someone smoking inside the building. This just
another reason the smoking should be banned because of the damage it causes to office building. My dad used
to own an awning company called "awnings only". He had a section where he had a lady that sawed the canvas
part for the awning. Because the lady smoked he had some damage to some of his canvas tops. After losing a
